GB obviously citys charges are trumped up!!! why esle is the PL taking so long they cant prove it

GB,

The two issues are entirely different, my understanding is that Everton admitted their breach (ie: they had spent too much) and were awaiting a verdict/punishment.

City have not, they have an irrefutable body of evidence to defend and disprove the charges, (primarily three, of which there are multiple duplications within each). The burden of proof is on the PL to establish guilt on each individual charge. A bit like saying, we think you may have been caught shoplifting with a basket of goods, now we need to prove that you did in fact steal each one of those items in the basket as a separate issue.

A simplistic and possibly rubbish analogy, but there you go.

It was more than a coincidence that the PL charged City the evening before the government were to announce an independent regulator and in their panic they messed up a number of the charges which they have since admitted. One assumes that they are now regretting their haste and taking their time trying to prove the unprovable. City on the other hand have had their case ready for a couple of years having defended the same charges with UEFA.

That's why it will take a long time.

so supposing city get the same penalty as everton coz we know they have been sailing close to the wind for years i mean 115 charges cant all be wrong .

What proof do you have that City have been "sailing close to the wind"? Is it just because the red tops say so whilst playing to the red shirted gallery?

Why can't all 115 charges all be wrong?

In my rubbish analogy above, if the PL can't prove beyond reasonable doubt that just one of those items in the basket has been stolen then it stands to reason that none of the items have been stolen. As a result, that section of the case collapses along with all those other charges/items in the basket.

I have worked it out whups and if they get a 10 points deduction for everyone of their charges they will be in the North West Counties Division 5
And this is a club don't forget who happily payed a 10 £million fine whilst denying any guilt.

And we will still be there paying our entrance fees.

That fine was for lack of cooperation in not disclosing information irrelevant to the case, not wrongdoing.

And why not "disclose information" unless hoping to beat a time bar, which you managed on that occasion.
But this investigation doesn't have one
The chickens are coming home to roost.

"why not "disclose information" unless hoping to beat a time bar"

Read it again, "not disclosing information irrelevant to the case".

The chickens may well come home to roost, but if I were you I wouldn't go counting them.

If it was irrelevant to the case why pay a 10 Million fine?
For a club that turned up with 40 barristers to a argue a case I thought they may have disputed that one?

"If it was irrelevant to the case why pay a 10 Million fine?"

One would assume that it would be a case of "ok, we accept that it wasn't relevant, but you should have given us that information and let us decide whether it was relevant or not, as a result you have still gone against procedure so here is a fine".

In which case City would have no option but to reluctantly "tip-up" .

Having said that, I'm only guessing......and so are you, it's all speculation. Neither of us have any clue or insight into what goes on behind closed legal doors.

It appears that it is easy for clubs to fall foul of the rules, take this for instance:
"Manchester United have been fined €300,000 (£257,000) by Uefa for committing financial fair play breaches over a four-year period between 2019 and 2022."

Just think how much roofing felt that £257,000 would have bought.

I agree it is easy for clubs to "fall foul" on some counts.
I was just wondering how easy it is for a club to overlook that they are paying their manager twice, one declared to HMRC and one into a foreign bank account?

Ps Don't worry Sir Jim knows a good roofer, things are a changing

It's easy to mistakenly pay an employee alot of money when you have tons of it. Then again, the burden of proof is still on the PL to prove anything they feel was untoward, even speculative rumours such as that.

Uncle Jim will need to know quite a few tradesmen I suspect.

I am not in the least bitter oyears .
Why would i be bitter regarding a crap club like the dirties .
And crap club they are and always have been .
They ripped off utd when they were forced to play european cup games when O T had been bomb damaged in the war and we were skint .
Maine Rd was a sh.t hole but the dirties had utd by the rollocks and charged exhorbitant fees to use the ground which utd had to reluctantly do .
The chickens are waiting to roost at the emtihad oyears and roost they will .
Bet on it .

Grimshaw

Eveidently you are not old enough to remember Old Trafford before what it is today when it was so similar to the old St Helens Rugby League ground of Knowsley Road, they used it in a film about United.

And prior to the second world world war, City was always regarded as the biggest club in Manchester like Everton was in Liverpool until Bill Shankly was appointed the manager of Liverpool and transformed their club in the same way that ex. city player Matt Busby did at United

And where did you get the information that Ciy ripped off United at the end of the war when they invited them to share Maine Road as a result of Old Trafford having been damaged by German bombing of the Trafford Park Industrial area?

I first visted O T back in the 50s when i was just a teenager and it was common knowledge then that the dirties had ripped off utd when they had no floodlights at O T to play the european cup home games .
The M E N had the story at the time which was followed upby the nationals .
If you doubt this dodger ask the dirties .
